About

Ashleigh Moy is a contemporary artist and teacher working in the Hunter Valley and Newcastle Regions (Awabakal and Wonnarua Countries) of NSW, Australia. She graduated in 2020 with a Bachelor of Fine Art and Bachelor of Education (Secondary) from the University of New South Wales, with training in Photography and Sculpture.

Her paintings and photographs generally reflect experiences of Australian life, often through still lifes of native floral species. Ashleigh's sculptural pieces often hint at these themes within the undertones, but also focus on form and structure, aiming to be sleek, contemporary and functional. Her works are usually quite colourful, as she aims to evoke a sense of joy, yet peacefulness within her art.

Currently, Ashleigh balances life between art making, travelling and teaching.
